canamant Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 If you are going racing with it, helical gears tend to put side load on the crank, clutch, gearbox. I'd try and keep the straight cut assembly. 1 Quote
cullinoc Posted October 8, 2017 Author Posted October 8, 2017 It is for pre tt and Scarborough so will be raced So powerscreem not advisable then? Quote
cullinoc Posted October 8, 2017 Author Posted October 8, 2017 Found another crank in attic in box mint has straight cut primary 46teeth and 40c stamped on crank is that slingshot or slabby? Think slabby has 45 not sure anyone???? Quote
stellafella Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 (edited) K L 1100 slingshot parts diagram has 12220 40C00 for the crank. Edited October 8, 2017 by stellafella 1 Quote
canamant Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 Don't know the numbers but I would go with straight cut gears even if it means having to scout around for a clutch. Easier to do it now rather than later. 1 Quote
