Lomi Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Hi all long time since I've been on here. After a bit of advice if possible. The girlfriends daughter has a van van 125 carburrated model. The camchain snapped and wrecked the engine. To cut a long story short she bought a newer model engine to put in which had fuel injection. I've swapped all the carburettor and everything off the old engine onto the new one. It won't start. There's a good spark etc. Is there any reason the carb wouldn't work on the new newer engine? I'm at a bit of a loss. Cheers Quote
Captain Chaos Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 maybe the spark is good but not at the right time? Welcome back by the way. We like pics, and not only of the Van Van. 1 Quote
Lomi Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 It's funny you should say that just had another look at it and the spark is all over the place. When you hit the start button there's a huge spark the it stops. Would the pick ups be different on the newer engine perhaps. I confused here. Thanks for the welcome I'll stick some pics up of my other bikes later Quote
