Oil cooler

Hi All,

Anyone know the smallest oil cooler I can get away with on a GSXR1100L engine ? Need to put the cooler in a different place on the bike and want to go smaller if possible. Whats the best and smallest after market cooler I can safely get away with ? cheers all.

Personally i'd fit 19 row std. width as a minimum - especially if its mounted elsewhere other than the front! Others may have got away with 16 row but these motors need good oil - no need to cook it unnecessarily!

Yeah, that was what I was thinking . The cooler will be mounted up front, possibly in front of the forks so will be in good cooling air flow. cheers.

For the size difference, I'd go with the larger one, however if you're pushed for space, you might be able to get a deeper one to give more cooling area or fit an auxiliary one as a head cooler.
