snoorder Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Thanks a lot, found the pictures and indeed this looks like something I was thinking about. Think I have some more brainstorming to do or perhaps some practise in German 2 Quote
snoorder Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 By the way, I was told by a mate that this model swingarm has the bearings in the arm. The S4 arm that I have clamps directly to the shaft and should have bearings in the frame... Quote
grebo Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 That's another drawback of the S4 arm then .bearings in arm are easier to sort.Somewhere along the line think you will have to alter the frame pivots what springs to mind is the way a GS 650 /850 shaft drive arm is mounted .taper rollers on stub shafts that are screwed in frame pivot with the taper cup being in the arm ,they are small and neat will probably fit arm.may have some pictures from my 650 rat Kat Quote
markfoggy Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Hey Snoorder, I have a really radical suggestion, have you thought about talking to Nico. He's doing a lot more work in Classic nowadays. He seems to have kept all his old jigs for the frames. I know of at least one frame that he's built in the last 2 yrs that was a replica of an early steel framed bike, but he changed the geometry. Think Team Road Runner. Quote
snoorder Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Hey Mark, I assume you mean Nico Bakker? Sure I thought about contacting him but actually that goes against my will to do as much as possible myself. Oh and he's way above my budget aswell 1 Quote
Leblowski Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Yeah Nico ain't cheap I asked a price for some framerails for my bakker it was expensive I decided to take some scallops out instead of getting some new ones made Quote
Cluffy Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 very nice. The worst thing I ever did was sell my Moto Martin. Quote
