Swiss Toni Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) We all know the 750 Slabbie 6 speed box can be made to fit the 1052 and 1127 motors quite easily. Would the B6 into B12 gearbox be as easy? Has anyone done it? And if you have, how did you get along with it? Edited February 24, 2017 by Swiss Toni Not sayin' Quote
cregnybaa Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 More or less the same gearbox as a 750 slabby but with a lower first gear. Quote
boilerdude Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 How does the 6 speed gearbox hold up in the bigger bikes though? It was my understanding that the gears and synchro stuff is all a bit weaker. Quote
Swiss Toni Posted February 24, 2017 Author Posted February 24, 2017 Well...Slabbie to 1127, I've heard mixed reports. The 6 speed gears are thinner, to allow fitment into the case. So, some say this makes the conversion prone to 'grenading!' Having said that, one guy did it, and was over the moon with it! It's even been raced with no problems. That's why I ask about the B6/B12 conversion. 1 Quote
