Joebloggs Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Having never seen the full floater linkage I've a couple of questions. The pivot point directly above the swing arm pivot, should there be a dogbone here and if so does it go from this point to the rocker arm mount on the swing arm. Can't see one on the parts microfiche but cant see what else it would be for. If there is a dogbone, anybody have the length of the stock item Thanks in advance Joe Quote
Joebloggs Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Think I've got it, just needed a good stare for few mins....Doh. The joys of buying a bike in bits Quote
Reinhoud Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Is it all stock? I have the impression it isn't.. I built a monoshock in my GS1000, a FEW centimeters difference in length / distance on the pivot points can make a hell of a lot difference, you probably have to experiment. Quote
Rene EFE Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 How it's mounted. This one is lengthened for more rideheight. Quote
Joebloggs Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Its stock as far as I know, tbh it was obvious when I put it on the bike. It was the forward top mount on the bell crank, I (wrongly) expected there to be a dogbone but of course I was wrong, it bolts directly to the frame and pivots when the suspension moves. Sat on the bench it looked like something was missing. Live and learn....... Thanks for the reply 2 Quote
Rene EFE Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 No worries, it's what the place is for 1 Quote
