Blacknblue Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Hi there. Not posted for ages but need to know what length chain I should use if I put a 750m chain on my gsxr1100m. Is a standard length 750 one OK? I only ask because the rear sprocket is a bit bigger on the 11. Quote
Jaydee Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Don't think it'll be long enough. Standard gsxr 750 chain is 108 links, and 1100 118 links (both 530 chains). Don't forget the 11 swingarm is longer as well as having a larger sprocket. Quote

Blacknblue Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 Sorry chaps, meant to say I'm putting a 750 swingarm on the 1100. Will the 750 chain be long enough using 1100 sprockets? Quote
colinworth79 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) rear sprocket on a 750 is 45 and 1100 is 48 so I would say no too short but no harm in fitting the 750 arm sliding the wheel fully forward and see if it fits if you have the chain , if your getting a new one and if unsure get slightly longer than you think and shorten it as required . Only really want one join in a drive chain . Edited August 27, 2016 by colinworth79 Quote
