750 et carb balancing and decal suppliers

Hi everyone,

 

just been reading the book on carb balancing for a 750 et noticed it said half a ball bearing under on 2 and 3

Was looking at the carbtune balancers? whats everyones preferred method / make 

 

On a different not who does everyone use for replacement decals

Well.. dunno about everyones, but my method is just eyeballing the butterfly valve position in relation to the pin holes in the venturi (CV carbs), or comparing the slide heights by sticking a drill bit underneath (flatslide carbs..)

For static balancing i have a similar method as arnout. I use a piece of safety wire as a feeler gauge and set all the butterflies or slides to that height. Any thin gauge wire will do. Then finish balancing with carb sticks or the like when in the bike.

 

I use the Motion Pro sticks. Pretty common

I got a set of sealy vacuum gauges to balance my carbs they seem to work really well as they have damping screws to reduce the fluctuations on the needles
