B2BC Posted July 10, 2015 Author Share Posted July 10, 2015 all my float bowls have the brass screw in jet at the bottom same as that picture on the link you put up.its not the float valve pin pictured its the brass pin next to it i took a photo like that for size comparison it was just sitting in bottom of float bowl 2 and ive stripped these down and theres now where it would fit i think its fell in there on a previous overhaul from last owner. gixanator Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 from what i can glean from the interweb, the "jet" they show in pic 2 is a press fit rather than a screw fit but can't be absolutely sure.Your assumption it's a left over from a previous rebuild seems a good shout.Sure someone who's worked on these will be able to sort it for you. Captain Chaos Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 a mate had a Triumph Trophy with 36mm Mikuni carbs which was a bitch to start cold on the choke. Investigation revealed that 3 of the 4 brass jets had come out of the plastic bits.I installed them securely and everything was fine again (as far as everything can be fine with a Trophy).
