Captain Chaos Posted July 12, 2016 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Hi and welcome to group therapy. There is no oil seal on that side of the crankshaft. It's supposed to be oily around the ignition pick-up. Quote Link to comment

I am re-commissioning an engine an engine and ran it with the ignition cover off and quite a bit of oil was pissing out. I thought the worst , obviously.
