which wheels fit a braced watercooled swingarm?

hey everyone, just trying to see the options i have

i have a watercooled 750 braced swingarm i plan on using for my 89 gsxr750 frame and i have a few questions.

how exactly do i work the swingarm on an 89? i have the 89 swingarm on the frame still so i have complete assembly from it.

can the watercooled 750 and 1100 wheel work on this without any fitment issues for the brake/sprocket/axle

also can any 6 inch wheels be fitted on without issues for the same areas im asking about?

i dont want to do any serious fabrication, smaller stuff is fine but id need somebody to tell me exactly what i need to do and the best way to do it.

thankyou for the help!

If it's a gsxr750wr type swingarm you have, a 6" wheel will not fit.

I know this because my kat has a wr swingarm and I recently tried fitting a srad 750 6" rear wheel but the tyre hit the bracing on the swingarm, so I couldn't get the wheel fully in nevermind trying to get it centered

so as far as 5.5" rear wheels what choices do i have? would it be best to stick with a watercooled wheel? also do you by chance know if the 750 and 1100 watercooled wheel will work the exact same on it as far as the axle, spacing, brake lining up, and sprocket lining up?

I had a 6" SRAD wheel on a 1994 gsxr 750 done by a local machinist during my '96-'98 track season, I've seen '02 gsxr 1000 6" wheel done, Performance Machine made a 6" wheel for W's back in the day, I had Kosman Wheel modify oem wheels to 6' and 6.25" back in the day, I currently run a 6" rear Dymag and they still make them today as direct bolt ins. side note: R6 5.5" rear wheel is a common mod in rule restricted vintage classes for keeping the same size wheels. They are just lighter.

All 6" wheels require a 520 conversion and a 1/4-3/8" stepped out front sprocket.

@TJShave you any better pictures of the 6" wheel in the swingarm, showing how much room there is between the swingarm top brace and tyre etc, and what size tyre is fitted.

Just I know the srad 6" rim with tyre will not fit anywhere near in the swingarm

I've got a rf9/b12 MK1 rear wheel in my gsxr750wr swingarm. The rf and b12 wheels are lighter than the standard gsxr wheels. I then converted the rear disc and caliper to one off a gsxr1000 which was a bit more work

I've heard people using the yam and Triumph wheels and yes they are lighter than Suzuki but seem to dent and buckle much easier
