Metralla Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I am looking to find out what are the differnces between: 36610-06B00 this should be '86 & '87. 36610-06B20 this should be '88, to use with the different sidestand, is that the only difference? 36610-06B22 this should be '88, I am not sure what difference it has with 36610-06B20 (?) Also, does any of the above allow both headlights to operate in both hi&lo beams? My bike is 1987 (H), but I have changed the sidestand, now I am running a makeshift warning light, but I want to fit an '88 (J) loom. Quote
Upshotknothole Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I'm not terribly familiar with the UK wiring with your fancy headlight on/off switch, but for the headlights, they should be wired together in series. All the US models are. Check the wiring and the bulbs. Quote

If wired in series each bulb filament would only get 6v power. Another thing to check is that if the bulbs are H4 halogen or the pissy weak 35/35w tungsten which were often fitted when dual lights used and these wouldn't have required a relay. If they are, then a wiring upgrade with relays and H4 bulbs would literally make a 'night & day' difference - just follow the coloured wire diagram. Quote
Upshotknothole Posted September 27 Posted September 27 You're right, they are wired in parallel. Never had both lights go out when a single bulb burned out. Check the bulbs and the connections, headlights are on a sub harness and pretty easy to check the wiring. I've ran high end halogens, fancy LEDs, and cheap ass parts store H4s, never had to change any wiring. Quote
