Gixer34 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Hello, just wondering if anyone has done the cam swap on a WT where you put a 1000 inlet cam in the inlet side and the 750 inlet in the exhaust side. Think i got that the right way round. I know its been done on K series but not sure about W's Quote
kja.busa Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Not heard of this, that doesn't mean its not possible though, how about two inlet cams for starters? I've run that before in a busa. 1 Quote

kja.busa Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 GSXR750WT/V/W/X are all SRAD models, just to clarify. Have you thought about fitting a 600 head if you want a bit more go? Smaller combustion chamber, more compressiion. 1 Quote

The head that's on is a Mezz one with kit valves and springs that I got off phase one a few years back. I was just looking at further development. 1 Quote
kja.busa Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 What compression ratio do you currently run? theres possibly further scope with a thinner head gasket 1 Quote

It also has Teflon coated kit pistons, which you have to fit when you have kit valves. Coz the valves are flat and standard valves have a hollow face . I did gap the clearance head to piston and used thinest possible gasket. Edited February 12, 2016 by Gixer34 used wrong word 1 Quote
gixxerturbo Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Bob Farnham built a real screamer of an engine it was a combination of parts from the 600 and the 750 he used to have it posted on his site describing how it was built but for some reason it's not there any longer. Some of the info on the say what now!? forum is definitely good info. http://www.say what now!?.com/forums/17-srads-97-00-600-96-99-750/551177-gsxr725-engine.html http://www.say what now!?.com/forums/17-srads-97-00-600-96-99-750/366729-750-motor-600-modify-carb-600-heads.html 1 Quote
