i have been offered an rf900 motor with a knackered top end not sure how knackered yet though 

just wondering what is available in regards to big bore or any other ideas to make it quicker

I know 750W heads fit, and I think 1100W heads fit, since the down draft head on an RF900 won't fit a W frame. Not much out there for 900s, but you can still get big bore 750W and 1100W pistons. I can't remember if the 900 was a big bore 750 or a sleeved down 1100, so no idea on rod length or stroke.
