hi

picked up a u703 1052 motor. needs quite a few bottom end parts.

been reading through frankenstiens engine guide and he isnt sure but thinks the 1052 might have used the same starter as the 750 and 600.

possible good news as i have a clean 1988 teapot engine i already plan on nicking the casings off.  can anyone confirm this ?

also the j model 1052 has a starter clutch which on the fiche looks identical to the teapot.

anyone know  if it,s interchangable  before i pull the 600 apart to see. doubt i,m that lucky.

cheers

I'm planning on replacing my 1052 starter clutch with a 89 "750" teapot one the part numbers line up and as far as I've got the center bolt fits but waiting on a puller to get them off

The 750 one appears a bit lighter than the 1052 one and the cranks are the same (ish) in dimension

I have both and from memory the gears counts are the same for the 750 / 1052 I can take some pic's after work if you like

but 88 is a 600 ???  so don't know  IDK

check the parts fische for numbers I understood the 1052 and 750 were interchangeable from my research

Very interested in this job as I'm getting a cracking sound on starting, more often than not,

Which I think is the bike telling me the starter clutch is about to go .

Will need to change it . So as much info as you can, as working on engines has always lead to disaster .
