Joseph Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Hi I have just bought a 93 pink and purple W I'm wondering how the decals were made back in the day ? The gradient from purple to pink looks dotted like offset printing, but it has the same metallic effect as the painted parts (and same colour for the purple) How were these made ? 30 years later, who has the now much more modern technology to replicate this effect ? Thanks Quote

davemfox Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Unfortunately the image works couldn't help me. Anyone know of any other provider of Suzuki decals/stickers? Dave Quote
Joseph Posted May 27, 2020 Author Posted May 27, 2020 They stated that it must have been old school screenprinting with the same pigments as the tank paints, so not possible Any metallic suzuki decals will have to be bought through suzuki Quote
Joseph Posted May 27, 2020 Author Posted May 27, 2020 What colour are you looking for ? They still seem to have the ones i need, 200 bucks per side fairing, 180 per seat side, and 120 for the front fairing :) Quote
davemfox Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Oh right - yeah I'm after the white 'flashes' on the lower bit of the fairing and the top blue/dark/blue/white ones for the top fairing just below the mirrors. Dave Quote
davemfox Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Managed to get one sticker from Robinsons Foundry, as it was heavily discounted; and the other originals from here - https://www.oemmotorparts.com/oem2.asp?M=Suzuki Dave Quote
davemfox Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Well it turns out that Robinsons didn't have the sticker in stock at all! Back to the drawing board for that side then... Dave Quote
davemfox Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Thanks to MotorcycleSpareParts https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en for supplying one of the three decals I need... Dave Quote
