Zac Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Hi guys, I used to run a gsx1100f motor in my 750 slabside but then I built up a 1216 gsxr1100m motor and fitted that, I used the 1100f ignition unit just to get it going, with the intention of getting hold of a gsxr1100m unit.... that was almost 15 years ago and I still haven’t gotten round to it. But I’m wondering, would it make any difference? Am I losing some hp in using the gsx1100f ignitor with a gsxr1100m motor ? thanks, Quote
Gixer1460 Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Fairly unlikely - the burnt in curves are probably within a degree or two of each other and unless you are using it with a 1127 and 40mm CV's and a 4-2-2 exhaust, it won't be correct anyway! Quote
wraith Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Just the rev limiter cut in lower on the gsx1100f compared to a gsxr1100. Quote
Zac Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 Thanks that’s great to know, I can cross it off my list of bits to find.... and start thinking of other ways to up the power Quote
