Fugly Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Hi all, I will start a project thread soon but I have bought a Mk1 750 Teapot for a charity challenge. It needs a new tank which has been offered by a very generous Mr FBOAB but I also need a new oilcooler. Yes I could buy a 2nd hand one but in this case I would rather have a new one on the grounds I don't want to replace a knackered one with another knackered one. Any recommendations for suppliers of said items (other than Suzuki of course) and do I need a certain spec'? Many thanks Quote
wraith Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Don't know if you need a standard type? You can get after market oil coolers and stainless lines and ends off Eblag quite cheep these days for China and they seem just as good quality as the very expensive named stuff Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 That's what's on mine, 45 quid for a Chinese 19 row cooler and a few quid for torques fittings, ill find pics later Quote
Dezza Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 If going aftermarket, buy the cooler first and fit, then decide what hoses and fittings you need. It's easy to buy the wrong fittings, and even though the likes of Torques are half the price or less than Goodridge, Earls or Speedflow, the costs can soon add up. Quote
Fugly Posted December 9, 2019 Author Posted December 9, 2019 Hi all, Great thank you. Thanks FBOB for the pics, just what I needed and as I am in no rush I like the idea of fitting it up first then organising the fittings. Thanks all Quote
