600 Bandit overheating

Hi folks,

My daughter's steady date got a 600 Bandit. Asked me today what to do about overheating which occurs since a very hot summer day's blast around. Anybody on here experienced that before? Bike would stall at stops and runs "strange"  as he says. My first guess is poor running carbs. Any hints where to look first?

Carbs would be a good place to start ...but I would ride it a few miles 1st before diving in and have a look at the filter   

And check its not one of them "custom" oil cooler protectors on it as I,ve seen some that cut down the air flow

They dont overheat unless there no oil or like D&D said the coolers covered/blocked.

it will be a vacuum leak or tap problem or crap in the carbs
