Wagola Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Hi, any one out there know the fork diameter where they clamp into the bottom yoke on an SV1000S ? Looked on Sam's conversion chart but can't see the SV1000s on there. cheers Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 the fork seal for na SV1000 is part number 51153-42F00 that equates to 46x58x10.5mm so 46 mm fork leg.. 1 Quote
Wagola Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Hi, thanks for the answer but what I was after is the fork diameter of the aluminium stanchion where it clamps in to the bottom yoke. Basically I'm trying to fit GSXR1000 K1 forks in to GSXR1100 front end. On a Harris Mag 4. I bought some GSXR1000 yokes but found them to be bent when fitting them. B*ll*cks !! Just want some cheap yokes to try out my options and feasibility. cheers Quote
Captain Chaos Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 SV1000 has right way up forks, no upside downies. So 46mm it is. Quote
Wagola Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Oh shit ! didn't realise that, just assumed they was USD. that's saved me a few quid , cheers. Quote
banoffee Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 You were likely thinking about a proper Suzuki V-Twin 1 Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 What are yuo trying to do?? I think I have a set of TL yokes here and some other bits and pieces??? Quote
Wagola Posted August 17, 2019 Author Posted August 17, 2019 Hi, now that I've been told that TL forks are RWU I've binned the idea of using a TL yoke. Basically I'm trying to fit a GSXR1000 K1 front end on to my Harris which has a GSXR1100L front on it now. Really wanted Ohlins but they are getting fookin expensive now ! The 1000's are shorter so I've got some top extenders made but the GSXR1000 bottom yoke I bought is bent ! Quote

Wagola Posted August 17, 2019 Author Posted August 17, 2019 Yeah, I can see that now. And I thought Suzuki stuff was supposed to be interchangeable !! Looks like I still need a set of straight GSXR1000 K1 yokes. Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 What wheel are you using??? there are shed loads of 54 mm bottom yokes with the same offset as the 1000 k1 ones Quote
Wagola Posted August 18, 2019 Author Posted August 18, 2019 Hi, gonna be using a 1000K1 wheel, forks, and brakes. And swapping the 1100 steering stem into the 1000 bottom yoke. Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Like i said there are loads of 54mm k series yokes that are the same, have a another look at the chart.. also dont forget the top hat spacer for the top yoke to take up the diferance in stem diameters.. Quote
Wagola Posted August 22, 2019 Author Posted August 22, 2019 Looks like GSXR600 early K series are about the cheapest. Quote

Had a look at the chart again and went for a GSXR600K1 yoke as per the list but its wrong, I think. Early GSXR600K series have RWU forks ? Quote
