yann7/11r Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Hi OSS Guys. Can someone inform me of the trick : What's the best way to connect bst34 carbs on a 1978 gs1000 cylinder head? Pretty sure i've read somewhere the fact that some inlet pipe brand are interchangeable... (kawy Z1000?) Thanks. Quote
wraith Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Yes, z1000j for putting cv carbs onto a slide carb head. You will find the ports on the slide carb head don't 100% match up but not a mile out to the carb rubbers. Or you can get aftermarket carb rubbers for this, I think ever Grumpy or Suzuki Performance Spares (can be found on eblag) sell them but they are not cheep. Quote
wraith Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 If you do swap the head, keep a eye open for the GS1100g cv head (USA version of the GS1000g) as they have much better ports than any of the gs1000 1 Quote
