"knock sensor retrofit"
-
With a shift light sort of contraption it might be useful?
Just had a look on that popular video website and there's defo useful info out there.
-
Probably a lot to learn from where the manufacturers put them. Metal doesn't dampen noise much I think, so maybe it is not so location sensitive?
-
Anyone heard of Bad Obsession Motorsport? They made stuff from Lycra Reinforced Plastic. Might be a sweet alternative as it can stretch.
-
A 190/55 on 6" is a nice size in terms of riding but maybe you care more for the low profile tire look.

Nice TLS, not many out there in silver

It’s the inevitable puzzle we all play with..
Before you attack the front axle with something sharp, check the inside of it first!
-
Looks like a TL/Busa/Srad etc round spoke wheel which should have 130mm hub width. Gsxr K wheels have 128mm hub width so that could throw stuff out just a tick.
Axle resembles TL axle which was made for 214mm fork spacing. Lots of K gsxr's are 207mm spacing, so that could explain your +-7mm excess
-
If you need any measurements. I have gsxr axle from forks with 207mm spacing. And a TL axle, from forks with 214mm spacing.

Do you know how much bigger the diameter needs to be when go radial?
Depends on your callipers.
Radial m/c have longer levers because they moved the pivot point over. To get the same displacement the piston size goes up.

I fitted them in early USD clamps so the width is wrong.
Machined some disc spacers to get the alignment right.
Don't say no one told ya

Seen more then a pair of Beringers with faded colors so choose wisely. And you probably know this but still, radials need a bigger bore then axial m/c.
-
The early ones had the Nissin 4 pots, possibly mated to a 14mm one. Later Bandits had the tokico 6 pots, probably mated to a 16mm. That's the combo on a TLR anyway.
Forgot to mention, over at your place it might read ww91

I think you should always keep your fingers out of the cat.

If it's airpressure you want, probably best to use something else then a m/c. A bicycle pump is a bit ghetto but even I made it work
-
Can you test the calipers? Flat piece of wood between all pistons and some pressure. Making sure all the pistons retract when the pressure is relieved.
If it needs sorting, you probably want to do that before messing with brakefluid.

Thank F for that, otherwise every intelligent bastard would do 'em.

A bit of a tangent, but.. has anyone ever finished a project early. Or way cheaper then anticipated?
Project Binky anyone? (if you've never heard of it, highly recommended!)

What makes it so expensive? Apart from a bespoke ECU, everything is readily available and low in demand shirley?
-
Everyone has a different balance between wonky frames and cool oem bikes.. to bikes that can only be deemed a Suzuki because of the engine. It's the expression of each individual and what makes this such a colourful place.

I had one on the TLS but I haven't tested it well enough to be able to give you a good, first hand idea of it's effect.
There is a gear position sensor and the TLR has a lot more maps for fueling and ignition then you'd expect. So it stands to reason it can influence the way the bike runs, by making it think it's in a certain gear. There might be guides out there to make your own, if that makes it easier for you to try. TRE or S(mart) TRE.
Or try contacting Sam/Simon Matthewman. He's probably the most knowledgeable guy in the world when it comes to TL's.

Did that job recently. Put the shop vac on backwards to make a "blower" out of it. Let it run for several hours.
If that heats the blowing air with the electromotor, that's even much more betterer for clearing the vapours

The yankistan 2-2 yoshi's have a straight inlet, unsure if the badges are riveted/handed. The rising sun Yoshi's are 2-1 and have an angled slip-on connection.

Looks like the peculiar pattern of drilled holes is exactly the same!

My head is starting to spin.. probably easier to use photo's or make a drawing
A little extra rideheight doesn't have to hurt, might actually be welcome.
