Any pictures? Or a local breakers where you could try stuff on..

There’s a distributor on my car with a vacuum timing adjustment thingy. Iirc it helps burn fuel better at cruising speed. Ignites it earlier because it burns slower or something.
-
Could it be for anything else then ignition timing?

these must have been the most ugly machines suzuki ever made ..would'nt wanne be cought dead on one hahaha
A few took it as a challenge and made some pretty cool interpretations of that silly little bike

Is there any chance the pitot pressure is messing with the cv slide position?
-
Have you sprayed some penetrating oil in there?
Maybe the flange can be modded to stick a large spanner on. It’s only thin alloy but who knows.
The ruined hex end, any chance of drilling through that?

Are you only using the shock, none of the other bits in that drawing?

Such data is hard to find. Most accurate thing might be that drawing.

135mm sounds about right for pretty much any normal road bike. If you want to go lower then your 165mm then just explore more options. Often there's a way!

In the video the footpeg looks similar to Harris'. As does the rear m/c bracket. The brakepedal looks more like Robby Moto or something.

Ah.. they do have another one with pillion aperture.. but original it is not, no!

Could you do away with the situation between carbs and plenum? Using machined bellmouths+plenum that incorporate o-rings that go directly on the carbs. Might give you a bit more room and by that better access maybe? And easier to make changes for pitot experimenting.

The things that spring to mind.. A turbo that has low inertia (spools up quicker) and low resistance (keeps it revs longer). Small volumes to pressurize the turbo and the intake faster. A cam(timing) that increases engine output to start the turbo earlier. Which might cause the cam to 'run out' maybe at revs. But if the turbo can compensate for that..?
There are lots of interesting modern car engines. And usually it is no problem to find pictures. They can provide insight into what works as well. Like cars with V engines and 1 or 2 turbo's right on top, very close to the inlet. And cylinder heads that function as a collector. With the turbo bolted to straight to the head.
A reed valve to bypass inlet drag of the turbo is also really cool. Would it work with fuel injection though? Basically it creates a second air inlet. Depends on what sensors the FI relies maybe?

Blown kawi? It's single sided though..

TLS throttle bodies will fit. Fitting S oil cooler will need drilling and tapping in the cases. Clutch pushrod might need looking at as there are three versions (5 and 6 spring cable, 6 spring hydro). Iirc ‘97s had a two wire gear pos sensor, TLR 3. Waterpump housing is different but should swap over.
Iirc cams are different. Forged pistons. Heads can be O port or D port on a S. TLR always D port.

Probably won't notice. But if you want to improve anyway. The seal can be discarded if the bearing is sealed. And if the sprocket bolts are in the way an alternative could be disc bolts.

Does seem impossible to damage anything with plastic tie wraps..

Sometimes a ratchet/ring spanner and a socket or bit can work in pretty tight spaces. Especially if the ratchet has a fine mech.
Apparently there's also stuff available to make rubber bits supple again.

What does your gut say?
Not sure if you really risk anything with it. But the noise would bother me. Could mask other noises and be just annoying to live with.

Interesting question..
How much of an angle do the springs have in the worst pockets? And how hard of a life do you give them. Is this for a streetbike, what state of tune.. any (drag) racing?

Will the cooler fill up completely when the connections are on the bottom?

What’s wrong with a crankbreather system connected with the intake?
Ok burning lots of oil ain’t good, but a good separater ought to sort that no?
GSXR1100 Cams in turbo bandit - anyone have dyno graphs?

Any overlap in valve timing? Afaik normal for n/a application but less suitable for boost, at least I think I read it somewhere?!
I also thought it was good to have cams that work early and spool turbo early. Then tune the rest of the graph with boost?
