  1. Did wee bit on the casings before new exhaust go's on.
  2. Got bit more done in between work. Templates cut out for footrest mounts and picking some alloy plate up sat, new exhaust ready to go on once there fitted and case's polished
  3. Hi mate. Got the mudguard off Eblag no234567951216 £25 + p&p they do them in black or white and are very good for the price, just need the edges cleaned up a bit or more than good enough to fit and use. I used the bandit brace and made some spacers to clear the tyre, will make a new brace up later as the original bolt holes are to far apart but at the moment im just getting everything to fit . if you need any measurements let me know
  4. Got the front mudguard on with some spacers today. Will be coming off later to tidy up the edges and a coat of paint, got a front master cylinder sorted so will have brakes again soon next job will be to get some plates welded on for the foot pegs.
  5. Had similar problem after fitting new points . Ended up making a bigger slot after that it starts easy and idles smooth, they weren't OE but were meant to be good quality
  6. Headlamp bowl back on and most of the loom connected. Gave it a quick rub down and a splash of silver to tidy it up, next thing need to find a master cylinder and make some spacers for the fork brace to get some clearance over the tyre.
  7. Bit more work on the front today. Been bit slow last few weeks as making use of the good weather for weekend bike runs , will get the finger out and should have the front more or less done next few weeks

  9. Got the lock stops done today as had a bit spare time. Now i can get the front end on ,headlight, clocks etc, good to see it back on its wheels soon

  11. Bit spare time today. Refitted the old lock stop after some reshape and found some gsxr clutch spacers , going to tap and mount them on the bottom yoke . Any ideas on a petrol tap that will clear the frame
  12. Got the wheels and headlight brackets back last week . New wheel bearings going in and some tyre;s to be fitted this week as got a few days off, looks like il have to sort the fuel tap position will check it again tomorrow
  13. Had a spare 5mins so cut the original lock stop off the frame . Should be able to reposition it and do something with the bottom yoke to make it work
  14. Wheels stripped and headlight brackets dropped off for powder coating. Top yoke has had 4mm taken off as wasnt much of the stem coming through and while the front end is apart il get the lock stops sorted
  15. Hi tony . Did you have to modify the blocks to fit ? mine were machined well but as you can see the profile doesn't match the original mounts, if you bought the correct length shocks that would take all the fun out . Took the wheels off today for powder coating along with the headlight brackets i cut down , also top yoke is getting a few mm off as not much thread for the stem nut/washer , will put some more pics up soon once ive got bit more done . Thanks for your encouragement on my project
  16. Took the swingarm back off to fit the chain slider , had to trim it back 7 mm to match the tophat also the jack up block on the chain side needed a bit of work to line up. 2mm off the bottom and round the edges a bit now its lined up fine
  17. Picked up a pair of side panels complete with badges. But also came with a shitey two tone paint job , luckily the paint stripped back ok so gave them a coat of primer then some satin black. just need to find the clips for the badges now

  19. Another wee job done today. Headlight brackets shorten'd by 20 mm and a dusting of primer , wheels coming off soon for powder coat so will hand them in at the same time
  20. Tried the jack up blocks today on the rear . Gave the tank a massage underneath to fit the frame then put the seat on to check everything fits , next jobs is sort out the lockstop make some seat brackets and also need to cut down the bandit headlight brackets .

  22. Been buying a few bits for the gs. got a bandit headlight and brackets so will fit straight on once iv'e tidied up the headlight bowl , also bought jack up blocks for the rear . Next on the list is some rear sets looked at some off a gsxr 1000 k9 but open to suggestions , any thoughts on the china rear sets for sale on eblag bought some adjustable levers a while back and were very good . il put some pics up once the jack up blocks arrive
