Tonight I scratch built up the front end based on ZX12 forks, bottom yoke and wheel, ZX9 top yoke spindle and clip-ons discs etc, and say what now!? caliprs

now I need to get some Radial caliper adapters

and then.....I came accross a ZX9 top yoke and it looks to be the correct size - just need to suss out the stem.

Busa fork next to it is 50mm top, the ZX12 is 52mm, the clip ons that came with em fit the Busa, so its just not off this bike! After some reserch, I found the top to be off a ZX10 @50mm

Then theres the ZX12 forks I got (52mm tops), Yes mate they take Radial calipers and are a matching set...., er how? and the top yoke didnt fit at all, so scored a partial refund. (ZX10 is 50mm top)

Found some ZX9 wheels in my container Up North. (options)

Swopped a Tesco Meal Deal with a chap called Issac Hunt ( I jest not, suspect its not his real name...) in Solihul for some side panels, but I have to make some mounting pins as they are missing. He also had a 750 ES fairing in the bushes behind his shed! and mount frame which I should be able to make fit.

Really? you can get 1052 on this bottom end? - wont it need a crank change to 1100 ? Would that mean this is SHORT STROKE?

Ah it was an R not V, TYPO, that explains the internet searach confusion, so is this long or short stroke?

I was mooching in the garage and seeing what 750 bits I had then found this, seems its not a 750 but an 1100 Shim oil cooled = M full bottom end, will any Slingy 1100 top end fit? If so has anyone got a top end...?

Had another look today and I think the forks look too short and the swingarm is also too short... Now I do have some Powwrscreen forks in my other cave, I'm sure they are longer and similar. So that's next to try. And I'm robbing the swingarm off this Slingy 750

Need to look for 1100 inlet rubbers the 750 one seem too small for the Keihins. Also fitted an RF900 fuel tap as there's not much room for a proper tap.

Swingarm is looking a tad short and it's a stock GSX1100 one.

Found a swingarm spindle that us the correct size and length! Result, so far iv had to spend £30 on a side stand but it feels too long and might interfere with my foot depending on rearset position. Prob try an alternative.

So today I pushed it out for the first time. Exhaust was a biatch to get on, much levering and jacking the motor up, its now on after cutting the front cross brace off ( I belive you have to do this with Air cooled conversions.) Will probably weld it back in elsewhere. I can now tackle making the engine mounts.

Iv had all this crap laying around for years (got the frame in 2012 !), it seems to be building itself!

Tried to fix the ZX9 C bottom yoke as option 2 front end, its had the stem removed and I cut the stem off a Z400 yoke. Z400 rear sprocket thing fits in the stem and the yoke, need to conform the length and weld it - unless someone could make me an adapter please = not exactly the correct size currently. its a bodge you can see the bush is slightly bigger than the bearing face (which it needs to be, but its not an interpherance fit or long enough really (not as deep as the yoke - was considering pinning it (under the bearing) - or weld a large washer underneath too Once clamped up it aint going anywhere!

Wanted to use the silver slotted alloy set but nowhere near, fount the black mounts fitted the ET frame mount holes and if I fit the brown / black anodised sets to these at an angle all geed. Found a Busa master cylinder and Bandit RH peg and lever so sorted (think the heel plates are Busa) Heinz 57 Need a Bandit LH as I only had one Brown lever

So, blinking FROZE toooooonigggght, brr Found a cut down GS / Et rear mudguard - fitted! On to the rearset things, found several old odd things and raided em all to make a set up - odd at the moment (Need a Bandit LH peg and lever Keep finding stuff to mod and fit The only thing Iv bought so far is a side stand, roll on pay day!
