Finally decided to Rob the engine out of my 750 Slingshot for this build ( ex race - has lockwire holes drilled and a manual tensioner. Sealed up the side covers and poured dome new oil in, appeared on the floor! Looks like someone swopped the sump in the past and it's loose, so what the hell, find a Bandit 6 sump and ill be able to get a 4 into 1 on it. Need a sump then fellas!

I think they are 72.5

So now I need a GS550 RH caliper mount

On the plus side I have a new Guiliari seat cover and a Powerscreen rear caliper fits perfect. The old Suzuki calipers I was given don't fit ( front), seems they use a different mounting bracket.

Turns out the 750 Dot head engine was a load of scrap, doesn't turn over easily, removed the head and the crank seems tight Tried to rebuild another motor with whats laying around using another 748 bottom end, the 748 head needs repair. Fail You can't put a 749 head on a 748, it fits but the cams ate wrong and full the head

Cool, I know there's a few different models - long stroke, short stroke 748, 749, don't want to bugger the valves

Anyone got any info on setting up the cam timing on a Dot Head 750 lump please?

You could get plasiguage and modify a set to fit by using grinding paste

Saved the loom and brain ( result)

Went and collected this Baboon Arse donor to rob the exhaust and sump wheels and forks, hope they fit. This donor is nasty rusty siezed, will try save the motor ( siezed)

Loom is 1127 Powerscreen one with GSXR 750 brain

Those handlebars have been on lots of my bikes and were purchased in Japan

Found some carbs in my stash and bolted the motor into the GS rear lower frame mount, need to eyeball everything up, fuel tap may be an issue colliding with air pod filters

Found some 1100f exhausts, but they sit too low to the ground

Was offered a Dot Head motor for £30, which was incomplete but I had a box of bits to build it, so out with the old and in with the new You have to remove the rocker cover and rear LH cam cap to get it in ! Turns out the guy had had the cams out so prob not the hight lift ones anymore, and it needs timing up! Yes I rattle canned the frame black
