Is it an 1100 arm or a 750 arm you have?
The linkages are a bit thin on the ground. @Funkymonkracingdoes a billet one for the 11 that increases the ride hieght by 30mm.

The top part of the original EFE fairing look good on these. Many like them naked for that muscle bike aesthetic . With a fairing they are more practical for doing distance and using to transverse continents n' that. Depends what you want to use it for.
The ES fairing might be a better fit than the Kat or the GS1200S looks good too.

Hi guys.
Need some help.
Only had a stripped down bike for a couple of months.
Rode it about 100 miles over the weekend. Left it parked up in garage.
One week later, it simply won't start. Sounded like putt putt putting on one or two cylinders.
All electrics seem to be all working. Neutral light on. Turns over strongly.
Oil pressure switch wire had come off but I've put a new connector on and refitted.
Taken tank off and checked HT leads and plugs. All look good.
Put auxiliary fuel tank straight to carbs.
Checked fuses.
Not firing on any now.
Any sensors or switches that would stop it firing?
ECU.? Hope not only had it a few weeks. Am I that unlucky? Hmmmm.
Thanks in advance.
There are plenty of forums where people will shout out random things for you to try. If you have ever seen a good mechanic working through a well worn diagnostic routine. It starts out very basically and then gradually hones in on the problem.
An engine needs fuel, air, compression and a spark. So which of these are present and which of these are not? Once you establish that you can determine why one or more of these is not present by examining the sytems that provide it.
Let's say for instance there is no spark. It could be, plugs, leads coils. pick ups, safety cut outs or ECU. The manual has a list of values that allow you to test if these components are in spec with a meter. Appart from the ECU.
So I would start by establishing which of the critical requirements for engine start up is missing and work from there.

It will be 2021 now. 2020 is a write off.

@banoffeejust unlocking this to post these 2 images. They're not great but they are the missing images I had to lift them from google image search thumbnails.. I had a look at this before I changed my front end to a ZX6R so I never did the conversion.

I had one of those. The Achilles heal is the top end oiling system (they eat cams) and the balancer chain tensioner set up both were improved from 94 onwards. Personally, my view is that engine wasn’t Suzuki’s best work. The 94 onwards 650 is better and the prices reflect that.
I paid 500-600 for mine and spend more that I should have sorting it before it through the balancer chain out the side of the casing. I think I overpaid.

Great weekend chaps. Really enjoyed the company. Less is more. We had more interest than most from what I could see. Let's do it again next year.

Team Rooster Racing will be there. We will have the Harris and the Slabby there again. Same rider and team line up as last year. I'll be managing the GSXR team this year.
Can't wait!

We have a new winged hammer!
@SlingshotSteveruns a lightly modified bandit 1200 in straightliners.
He's had a fairly successful year, taking second place in the 11.1 class, behind another winged hammer, Bow who won it.
Steve has promised to start a thread here on the race section and do a re cap of his year's racing, and then continue with his build for 2020, which is currently getting an FBM long swingarm, before Steve moves up to the 10.1 class for next year.
Steve may our mighty winged hammer bring you continued success.

When everyone is happy we can publish it on the front page.

Not this topic again. I had a busa wheel and fancied a 6" rim but as it became a race bike and I needed 2 sets of wheels I opted for slingy rear wheels. Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
If you want a 6" rim go for it. It can be done but you're on your own sailor and we want a "how to" thread so we don't have to have this discussion again.

Well done! Keep your build threads up to date over the winter.

Yeah, good call. I haven't been on my race bike now for over a year. There was no club racing this year and I never managed to get south for any of the track days.
