  1. Cheers for that, so that brass pipe is not the P/jet?  I really wonder what they could be then cos they are definitely 38's!

And these are the set i plan to use on the Drag bike. Bar the tubes & the general butchery the last owner did, they're pretty much the same?

  2. Trying to figure these carbs out. Bought as BST38's  badly altered to fit a Ford Pinto & the inlets confirm that. I then sourced enough parts to return em to std, or so i thought?

I've been told the 38's have a rubber tube powerjet which my other set have, but these have the rigid brass tube?

So what models ran the 38's & were there variants in Foreign models?

Pics i have is after i rebuilt them.

  3. Always wondered this cos somewhere in the back of my foggy mind i thought there were actually 2 different sizes of slaves on the oilers? However i may be well wrong.

But my question is the B12 2001> the same as the Pre 2001 B12 & it appears the GSX1100F too?

Asking cos the kit prices are £10 more for the pre ones & i need 2 kits for a 2000 B12 & 90's 1100F so could save about £20 if i got the later options ;)

  4. Haha Should have known better. Timber warps!  I used a box section steel rod clamped to front sprocket & line up to the rear.

And also if the "rear sprocket" is on at an angle, what you really mean is the "Wheel" is not properly aligned.

Highly unlikely the sprocket is on at an angle, unless you really shouldn't be let near tools ;)

  5. 1 hour ago, Dezza said:

Buy a 750 slabby or slingshot frame for a 7/12 with the aim of the finished bike to be at least 40kg lighter than a stock 1200 Blandit:)

I happen to have a Slabby 7 frame too. It's what direction i go with ;)

  6. had a similar issue with the rear wheel "tightness"  I found that the K series rears have a wider hub than the Busa, so i swapped mine & line up was a tad easier.

But same as you, i had to shave down the carrier bolts. I then bought some tab locks & 1/2 nuts to sort that issue ;)

Third pic is a shaved down carrier which can also give you more mm's to play with. Oh & a 180 tyre :)

  7. As per "general" post on Motobatt batteries, avoid em now.

I always sung their praises until 2 failures in 2 years.

Turns out they're made in China now & the QC on them is terrible.

Last supplier i got off said to me he's dropping them cos of so many returns ;)
