the tank looks fecking ace, it'll be a shame to paint it :(

It is definitely a dilemma. Not made my mind up yet. It's getting logo-ed up though somewhere

  2. Never much liked the way the bike sat. Too low at the rear. Looks like a mutt with worms draggin' it's arse over the rug.

  3. Are all GS1000/750 etc tank badges the same size. Particularly with reference to the ones in the flutes of the fluted tank? I have gold ones and silver ones and they're all the same size but I have no idea which model they came off. This one is obviously for the Australian market, but are they all the same size.

And welcome. I am going to raise the rear a couple inches as Viz says but I'm afraid I can't help you with the details, it was built back in the mists of time by Mr Pip Higham out of The Village Bike Shop.

or be real kool (and brave) try and talk Suzan into carrying a starter trolly around with her.

Suzanne has lifted GS1000 s off me in Spain, Italy and Helston, but she was young then. She bumped the old GS every morning, when my old knacker was charging everyone else's batteries. She's gorgeous, but naahhh.
