I remember all those old Ford Capris, Cortinas, and Escorts in the late 70s/80s that were converted to 'harlequins' after one or more body panels had suffered terminal rust
Kind of what I said on a different platform After being side swiped on both sides during a roundabout faux par in my Renault 4, I scavenged the replacements for the 6 damaged panels off 6 different wrecked R4s in the local scrap yard, all different colours....

I get that, but those rims with tyres on even old ones that will be replaced, will be much safer in the mean time.
-
I'd get tyres on those delicate rims sooner rather than later, give them a bit of protection

Thought I gave you a pack of new bolts with the rims Tom? I was going to drill the back wheel so it matched the front, before deciding to go another route.
You did, Larry is aware of this

Like those wheels but whys the rear wheel got no bolts or holes holding it together or is the front just bolted for looks ?
I also have no idea, I'm going up to work in a bit, I'll check to see if the front is split rim or whether the bolts are just for show. My intention, had I kept them would have been to add bolts to the rear, I don't believe it would compromise rim integrity.

Indeed, I never know whether it's bad form to say where you're getting things like these, so err on the side of caution and don't.
They're just working their way through the OSS massive

How long does the “mixture” stay usable for and how many millilitres of MEK to AbS is required….?
I keep mine in a coffee jar with a tight lid. I'm still using the original mix 4 years later. As long as the solvent component can't evaporate, it'll stay useable. I have added a little more MEK perhaps annually, to soften it up a bit. I just kept adding ABS pellets to the MEK until it reached a consistency I thought looked like it'd do the job. I added the pellets slowly over a couple of days.

After reading @Havocpost and chatting with him about fixing abs plastic panels I bought some Mek (let the chemistry begin ) now this stuff dissolves abs plastic especially if you cut it up into little pieces. So that's exactly what I did with the front bit of the side panel I'd cut off. Right hand side panel where the brake reservoir window is was busted and I don't need the window anyway. Filled it in with the Mek and mix and have also started to rebuild a busted tab on the back light surround. I have to say it does work amazingly well if you have the patience.
Chemistry is ace. Be careful of the MEK though, the RAF banned it's use over 20 years ago

How about just riding the things there? They are motorcycles after all
2 or 3 bikes hard to ride with just the 1 arse. Also Newark showground not the sort of place you want to be stuck at for 48 hours without a way of escaping

Dont forget what I do for a living! I can get most parts to you next day!
They've closed for the holidays now with it on their ramp, without telling me if they've found the problem or what it is. They did say they would. He's a mate though, doing me a favor, so it is what it is, no biggy. I reckon I'll be able to find a way of getting a few bikes to Newark, I've got ages

Paul, looks like I'm vanless until mid Jan, automatic fan belt tensioner on back order. Got the bikes, might not have the means to get them there, it's only 11 miles away, any helpers? 40 minute turn around?
