Great vid! "Mikes EFE smokes a bit"
Hi Marco,
that's not smoke, just a bit of condensation in the exhaust.

just had a look in the issue of PB (february 1996) and that ZZR1100 is nowhere to be seen. Why's that?
I think it's because Mike Granger had an article in motor cycle news at the same time and performance Bikes got funny about it and pulled the pics.

Hi,
wouldnt you be better of degreeing the cams in properly, and while your at it check how much lift you have on them.
youl need a degree wheel and positive stop, check on internet of how to dial them in.

Try shotblasting them first, when they are rough they grip the fibres better. Also what are you clutch springs like?

As Gixer1460 says, have you tried with the clutch pulled in? Also is there a side stand switch?

What are the coils and leads like?
just to add another factor in.

Going for the 24 volt for starting works well, my 13 to 1 bike starts really well on this and spins over really easily. This is also running total loss ignition, and lasts a day of racing. I would try this first.

Or as I have done on my 13 to 1 bike, run two batteries with 24 volts to the starter( batteries connected is series with 12 volt of one and 24 v off both)turns over real quick and fires up without spinning the rotor.

And if you do snap the pegs, your good old friend silicon we'll fix it.
just put a little of the vents then stick back on, you can allways pry them back of later.
Dont use superglue.
