Bought a gsxr1000 k1 header for my 750 knowing it had to be modified a little. Just curious do I have to bend it cold or after being heated??
Don't want to break it
The modification first is to make them fit on my 750 engine so bending the pipes farther from each other.

Much better to my humble opinion !

Mayby changing oil with fresh 10w40 to start with, changing clutch plates afterwards wont spoil much oil when your bike is on side stand.

Don't you need a vacuüm hose at the place you re pointing with your finger?

Funny thing is, I took them of a couple of times for mounting lights of, painting, taking lights of etc.
Every time I put them on used lot of strengt, by taking them of took lot less strengt. My conclusion they stiffen the frame cause there is some friction wich looses them.
Sorry for my bad englisch

@banoffeejust unlocking this to post these 2 images. They're not great but they are the missing images I had to lift them from google image search thumbnails.. I had a look at this before I changed my front end to a ZX6R so I never did the conversion.
I have them made to fit bigger brake discs (rf900) and nissin 4 pots at my gsx6/11f fork

Does anybody overhere know if the header/downpipes of a 750r fits the oilsump of a gsx750f '91?
Other suggestions, what 4in1 exhaust fits, very welcome

The last time I put the engine back in I put the engine on a wooden frame, sat that on a platform Jack and that sat on a skateboard ... it worked a treat, the skateboard allowed me to move the engine around to line up the mounts - the lower rear mount with the spacer can be a pig.
Unable to weld I used same strategy
