MK-I and Mk-II carbs are different spacing, you need the carbs rubber to suite.
No idea which are best think the Mk-II also have the TPS thing on them.
-
I hate to admit it. I have never heard of them.
Hangs head in shame......
Interesting looking project..

Lush,
I do like that..

It will be quite high CR. 11.5:1 to about 12:1 (Dot head is worth about 1.5 on the CR)
Would think it will tend to get a little hot.

Check the size and try simply bearings.
If you haven't got the originals to measure take a look on alphasport. They quite often list the sizes next to the part numbers.

From the info I have managed to dig up the G4 profile appears to be an old MegaCycle profile.
The closes match to current Kent Cam profile is the SUZ17
-
If I upgrade my cams to a set of G4 Kent Cams. Do I need to upgrade my valve springs? Or can I get away with using the old OE springs?

Take a look at motocarb.co.UK
Steve sorted me bits for my rs40s

Like the rearsets.
Are they cut down mag II items ?

This man has a lot of stuff, also intake manifolds or air cleaners, for sale, very reasonable prices.
Not exactly on my doorstep.
Ill try the original rubbers and see how I go.
Cheers for the input.

Cheers for the input.
I wasn't sure if the standard inlets would stretch the extra 2mm.
-
Hi,
Quick question.
What intake manifolds are people using to fit flat slide carbs on GSX1100 heads?
Or are you just using a length of suitable diameter silicon hose?
Cheers..

The 155 BHP figure quoted by Suzuki and Bimota, was at the crank, and it was a bit of an exaggeration.
I know most of the guys on the Bimota forum that run SB6's are all seeing about 130BHP at the rear wheel, so your 125 sound good to me
PS.
The Bimota SB6 runs the GSXR1100 WR / WS motor.

actually that was useful information irregardless. If a gsxr 1000 exhaust hangs low on an 1100. And a gsxr 1100 exhaust hangs low on a bandit. Then a gsxr 1000 exhaust on a bandit should hang really really low. That is good information to have.
Erm no
Look at the pic, he has about an inch to 2 inches of extra pipe where it fits to the motor.
You can get the thou headers quite tight to the dump with a bit of effort.

I've been musing over the tank .As it sits to the rear frame rails ,If its altered I'd say Mag 1 but I'm not sure
Harris do a Mag 4 style for the Mag2,never seen one so could be one of those.
I'll need to have some kind of tank clearance Mag 4 style on my Harris ,but am stuck not wanting to alter the original tank.Thought I'd solved the problem with a purchase some time ago ,but it turned out to be a Spondon tank ,stashed for future use.
So put me out of my misery plz. Think I'm going to look at having one made
I have a mag4 tank I'm not using. Bought it for my mag2 but couldn't bring myself to mod it to get it to fit properly.
Think John schooner can make them. You'l find him on the Harris owners Facebook page.

Looking good,

Cheers for the advice.
I didn't think about the cam chain blade.
Is the standard cam chain ok, or do you have to use something shorter? With 2mm off the block that's a equal to 4mm too long on the cam chain.
Any idea what sort of cr this combo would give you.
Thanks... Si..

Hi,
Quick question.
Is it the GSXR1127 pistons that can be used to make a GSX1100 1260.
I believe that the wrist pin position is different and so the block and liners have to be shortened.
Any info would be good thanks.

I do like that fairing ash.
If was me Id try and pull it as far back towards the headstock as I could. There is not a huge amount of lock to lock on the mag II so I don't think bar clearance would be an issue.
Just a thought.
