I was there when Stu was running it up, he's just using the Dyno as a rolling road so no numbers yet. So many subtle mods flat screen dash mounted in the original clock surround push button switch gear, loads of one off parts. the AFR gauge still in it's box made me smile.

you can see on the end of the cross piece where one of the tubes had to be skimmed, that was a bit more of a fucker to do than I expected, the little bit wanted to pop out of the vice once the tube was split and the long ones were interesting to clamp.... anyone who machines metal will have had those jobs where it's a sigh of relief when it finishes without disaster ... or is it just me ?
O yes, with thin walled stainless tube in the lathe always one to look forward to
Brilliant build.

That was a few minutes well spent catching up with this build.

Looks brill, not sure how but I`d not seen your build thread since March so that was a pleasant 20 minutes catching up.

Not going to get to Cadwell this year, my piss poor planning has come good. Have a good one.

Good find, looks like it might have been parked up when the front wheel got buckled.

Good buy at that price, I`d started watching out for a 1100WP & lots are north of what you paid & nowhere near the condition. Keep & look for a M 750 or 1100

Proper OSS when you start looking at frames & swinging arms as a source of material. Fab build.

That looks like a Harris built arm, rather than a factory XRO. XRO bikes were customer face bikes. Harris ran the factory wsbk in the early days, before Alstare. The full factory bikes were way tricker than the XRO bikes.
You are right, it is a Harris arm & The XR0 is the designation for Suzuki factory parts. Still quite special as Harris only made 16 of them.

Good on you, pictures required great tribute to your dad. Lots of decisions to make restore or up date as you go.
