To be fair - MUCH better photo's, but still not 100%

Those Astralites really do look smart - never used to like them much........ but now
-
Yeah - t'was a strange tale....... the bloke was selling it (Paul) via his mate, Richard. Now Richard was known to me as I'd bought this off him a couple months back: I had been watching the GSX for several days and was unsure, but I got the Guzzi for a song and didn't mind paying a stronger price for the GSX. As it happens I did manage to knock him down a few hundred - cash is king.

Similar to you lad - love me big Zeds, but always had a soft-spot for Suzooks...... had plenty of GT250, GT550, GT750's over the years. That there GS sure looks the business

Hiya Monk old lad! Hows it hangin'?
-
If you're after the HD look - you're not far off

True - I was stating from my "basic" experience , ie; not having a dyno in my garage..... old skool; by the seat of your pants, ear/feel tuning. CV's prefer airbox pressure (stable air) to operate at their best. Non-CV like stable air too, but more forgiving. Us "built-in-a-shed" peeps can get faster & better results using non-CV carbs most of the time, but always exceptions. Flatslides/Smooties also look so much better!

All the Dynojet needles had a more aggressive taper to eliminate the midrange "lean spot" to meet emissions regs.... but they were better than standard needles.... Main problem is the CV carbs are shite for tuning!

My tank is original as far as I can tell - so close up it has plenty of scars!
-
Cheers lad - need BIG stuff so I can see it!!!

After collecting my new Suzook a couple weekends back, finally got her MOT'd - first time she's been on the road since 2010... Cleaned a few bits up and added some fresh badges/decals.... well pleased, just have to sort the tax out now!
-
It may not be the fault of the Dynojet kit? As it was already on the bike (fitted a few years back I believe) who knows what settings were used with it??? The glitch is at slight opening of throttle - it hesitates a bit and seems a tad rich? Other than that its good..... I'm being very picky!
-
Got a kit on my ET..... was already fitted & set on a Dyno.... works okay, bit lumpy down low end, but they are CV's with K&N's!!! Apart from Dyna coils and an Eagel 4:1 all standard and makes 99bhp at wheel.
-
Do it proper & fit 3.0 ohm (green) Dyna coils!
-
Thanks for that info - not bought them yet, it's a mate who got them for his old Z900, but never used them!
-
Did you do compression readings on warm motor with carbs wide open?
-
Cheers - that looks real kool for sure! They're aftermarket Mikuni TM33's, not old Suzook bored 29's. Used to the RS range and not sure what difference between the RS and TM's? Bike don't have an airbox, so one less hassle.
-
Tracked down a decent set of TM33 Mikuni's...... any good for a std GSX1100ET ? Pros & cons? Fit in the gap OK, etc....?
