  1. howdy ho!
I've hurt my brain, searched a plenty and still stuck.
Bought an ohlins shock from a zzr1100, guy had it fitted to a slingy 1100. Turned out the shock was pretty fucked so paid out for an extensive service and turns out its still way to soft.
I have discovered that suspension stuff frazzles my noodle. The spring I have is 01091 -23/90. on a chart it doesn't seem to exist.
Question being, do I use another suspension linkage or do I need a new, heavier spring? How would I work out what size linkage etc?
Amy help would be mucho appreciated. Thanks!

Wouldn't it be easier to find the fault? How difficult can it be. As this is the best set of carbs of all of them you would go backwards in development.

    What he said!
Easy to check. If fuels not getting in it's either gonna be a blocked tap or squiffy floats. Nothing else Really to go wrong!!

Well is quite a big chunk of ally if you get into it and setting up for the tooth broaching and final machining is a little more complicated than for a standard sprocket cut out of sheet. I think that is fair money, but spacer all day long.

Remember though you need to recess on the wheel side for the hub spigot and replicate the spigot detail as it hits the sprocket. Just sticking some washers behind it and hoping for the best is Not a good idea.

    All valid points dude.
I'll probably get the spacer machined by a mate. Can use an old sprocket for it I reckon. Should be pretty straight forward/ not my problem ;)

Talon will make you a custom offset rear sprocket. They aren't exactly cheap though - mine cost 70 quid about 4 years ago. And it took ages for them to do it, something like 4 months.

Fuck a duck! I can get a fancy spacer made pretty quick I reckon. Gonna go down that route. Need a new chain really. Fuck me when did that get so fucking expensive?!?

  5. Ok, dumb questions but I can't really find a definitive answer. Wanna space out my chain from the tyre, Sorting an offset front sprocket is all easy peasy but an offset rear (calm your self) is fucking impossible. Do I only need to offset the front? Am I being stupid? Can dogs look up? Any pointers would be mucho helpfully

  6. the slides wear and allows the needle to flap about like a witches tit. I put new emulsion tubes and needles in mine and 1000 miles later fucked again. Making them secure really really helps! What oilyspanner said up there is a solid way of doing it!

Oh, BTW if you are using a Pan seat to route airflow to an oil cooler, fuckin getin, that's a brilliant idea.

    cool cool.
I don't know what you mean but im nodding anyhoo ;)
There is an air vent system in the seat so will stick the head cooler somewhere appropriate if I can. Lots of planning to do yet

  8. Sticking a ducati panigale supframe on my slingshot and the bottom mount its a bit of a dick.
Could I mount to bottom mounts onto the shock mount or is it  to much stress in one point? any advice appreciated!

  9. Ahoy!
I've been slowing working on a turbo set up I got from pete field (tripleP) Other than my bike having a systematic hatred of me im pretty much getting there. I do have an oil related question though. It keeps shitting oil out the exhaust and not just a bit. There was a slick down the bike! I've read about people restricting the oil feed to lower volume. I've not seen one on a gsxr though but does anyone have an example of one and how they did it? Or am I wasting my time on it?
    Will do some pics soon!
    Cheers guys

  10. Ahoy,
I've got 2 slave cylinders and both of them refuse to budge the bleed nipples. Other than heat and penetrating fluid any cunning ideas? Are there any other ones I can fit? busa/ 1000 etc
    Cheers folks
