  2. After Donnington in May i decided I wanted a  bike that didn't have £1,000's invested in it so a Track Slag or as Scott preferred to  call it ...TrackStag was concepted...

Since then a TLR was sourced and the build has been slowly progressing.

Its going to be used for 2 things, being thrashed on the 1/4 and Track days... It's even gonna have a Daytime MOT.

As you see it now it has a 6" extended double braced JMC arm... Pretty rare for a TLR as not many were made. I've been into twins for about 10 years now, oddly enough Scott (Katanamangler) and I went to collect my first TLR in 2007...

Due to the bracing  and hassles with chains etc  I'm going to have 2 x complete backends, one for the Drag Strip and  Shorter arm for track days.

4 bolts and it all comes apart...

Long forwards to its shakedown at Santa pod in Feb... Where there's gonna be TL show down... Feel free to come along if you're local...

  3. Twins are for winners... I've had 3 R's and 2S's in about every reincarnation possible.

Trick them up a bit and they'll handle just fine. Don't believe all hype about the Widow-maker crap.

Motors are not overly powerful but enough to get you in trouble.

Currently running an S and i love it. Got 2 R track bikes I'm building ahead of next season.

It's all about the torque... One you get one, you'll fall in love.

  4. It's the MAG gathering in Salisbury this Sunday, so thought I'd sort out a seat unit of sorts to use while I'm waiting on my body work ti arrive...

The plastics I have are a tad scabby Si time ti make them half decent. A few hours later and they've got a couple of coats of Satin Black !!!

Fired the old girl up today too, to make sure everything was ok, the TLR clutch pushrod has some excessive wear so the interference fit is way out and the pushrod seal is weeping a tad...

A new seal and rod is already on It's way !

    Shakedown run tomorrow !!!

  5. So you're gonna put over 100 BHP through that swing arm, with more than 50% of it's integrity compromised.

No amount of 6mm plate It's going to hold. Even all of the internal bracing in the world won't stop that from twisting up.

    It's gonna snap !!!

My advice, junk it before it makes a mess of you....
