  1. Hi, thanks for the answer but what I was after is the fork diameter of the aluminium stanchion where it clamps in to the bottom yoke. Basically I'm trying to fit GSXR1000 K1 forks in to GSXR1100 front end. On a Harris Mag 4. I bought some GSXR1000 yokes but found them to be bent when fitting them. B*ll*cks !! Just want some cheap yokes to try out my options and feasibility. cheers

  2. Hi All,

Another question that I'm sure has been answered or talked about on here in the past but I can't find it. I have heard that some GSXR1000 exhausts will fit on a GSXR1100 engine. If this is fact, which model of GSXR1000 will fit ? I just like the idea of some titanium on my bike somewhere. Any help or answers greatly appreciated.

  3. Hi All,

Will a set of Bandit 1200 cams fit into a Slingshot GSXR1100 engine ? Looking at getting a spare set of cams to re-grind and not many GSXR1100 cams seem to come on to the market. Advice appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Hi All,

So I've finally got hold of a set of RS36's for the GSXR1100l engine in the Harris. And now I need your collective help on a base setting before I can get it dyno'd.

The engine was bought as a 1216cc but not been able to confirm this yet. With standard cams. It runs a full Harris 4-2-1 with a very un-restrictive end can.

Looking for a bit of advice at where I need to be with jet sizes and air screw settings etc, so some informed suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks y'all.

the reason the the heavy price of a new loom is because of the time isse. 17 hours  is not unheard of so you can see where the money goes. but yeah, thats a price for another bike. i would love to help but got my hands full polishing and fixing my bike as well as my mates.

As the guys have said. tis not to hard if you lay everything out on your bike with the original loom connected to what you want on bike, then just a case of shortening the wiring to suit. tho it will take a bit of time so stock up on coffee/tea/not beer or it will take longer.

Thanks for the offer of help tho. And if you do ever get some time on your hands.......

  6. Hi, Yeah I've already got the crimping pliers and jap spec connectors from vehicle wiring products. Definitely no pre-insulated connectors will go on it.

Its ending up with a tidy loom on the frame that I'm trying to get at the end. I guess its just the confidence to start that I lack. Just going to have to go for it !!

  7. Yeah I know what your saying and o have stripped the old loom down and bought some new connectors etc. I will give it a go but lack a bit of confidence I guess. Happily pay a bloke for a day to get me on the right track but don't want to pay over £500 a day for the privilege.

  8. Hi All, Wanting to try and sort my wiring loom out on the Harris and been given some really big quotes. I would love to pay these prices but £1500 for a custom loom seems to be a lot to me. Anyone out there that knows of a decent old school auto sparks that would be able to lend a hand ? I don't mind paying but there is a limit ! I am in the Peterborough area but am happy to travel a reasonable distance. Or are there any custom looms out there that I could purchase off the shelf and adapt a bit ? Only want really basic. No indicators. No side stand switch. No clutch cut out switch. You know the score.
