  1. Many thanks for the input Guys, I have decided to go down the tried and trusted route of fitting 1100 Slingshot front end with slightly longer legs. I am not trying to turn it into a sports bike, just improve the suspension slightly. I realise that it can be a long and rocky road to make it as you want. Have booked ticket for EFEST at Santa Pod in September to give me a timetable. Thanks again Rob
  2. Hi Guys and Gals, I am thinking of buying a set of custom yokes to fit my EFE. I was wondering if I could tighten up the rake, the EFE seems to have a bit of a stretch on it compared to other models in the GS/GSX range, and was thinking that a slightly reduced rake would help the handling. I do not know the standard values for the EFE against the ET and bandit, does anyone know how the head angle compares to the other models in the Suzuki Oldskool range. I was thinking that a 2 degree steeper angle would probably help it handle better. Many Thanks Rob
  3. I have used a GS500 wheel in std legs. Spindle spacers need remaking, and calipers need spacers on bolts to bring inline with GSX6000F discs. Use EFE Spindle.
  4. You can fit GSX 600F wheel and discs with 4 or 6 pot calipers on STD legs. I would use a 17mm master. I have upgraded a 88 Slabby on STD brakes with a master cylinder off a Yam XJR and got much better brakes.
  5. Thank you GSXRSAM, Ithink that I have one here if I can find it. Thanks Duckndive for info, I may use the 1100 ones if they fit better. Thanks everyone. Regards Rob.
  6. Hi everyone, I want to fit a set of 43mm fork legs to my EFE to upgrade handling and braking. I have several set of yokes which I have already tried ( Mk 1 Bandit 1200 + RF 900) but none of them fit without alteration. Can I change the yoke pin to the EFE one on one of my yokes to make things easier. I have also got a GSX 600 Teapot I can pinch the pin out if it fits. Any info would be gratefully received. Regards Rob
  7. Hi guys looking at the picture of the seals, they look worn to me. They should have more of an angle from front to rear of seal and a sharp edge where the seals hit the bore. The r/h/s seal looks deformed and stretched. I would change seals. Regards Rob.
  8. Hi Guys, not really posted on here before. I have a GSX1100ET awaiting the start of its rebuild, collecting parts at moment when funds allow. I just wanted to say that £261 does not seem that expensive to me. No, I am not made of money either but I understand that The famous Ferret electrician charges around £ 1000 for a custom loom according to an article I saw last year. Please bear in mind that the loom is actually about 5 pieces, the main loom is about 80 % of it. Regards Rob
