  1. Just bought a set of 750 srad legs to go into 750L yokes & using same calipers, tge wheel spindle is 25mm not 20mm is it a case of just changing tge wheel bearings? Will discs be OK? (Are the caliper brackets on the knuckle in the same position ie not making the caliper higher for bigger discs?)

  2. Seems like not a lots been done but I have fitted 7 fence panels/posts & boards ;) I've been sorting out the fibreglass on the seat unit. It's getting there :)

  3. Got a big lathe at work, got heat. Its either do it or look for some good replacements then sell these cheap as need doing. Going the 2nd route may end up costing about £100 in the end if they are ok.

  4. Or earlier ;) so the spindle could be overcome by changing wheel bearings, if discs don't fit in the centret the caliper or disc could be spaced but 300mm discs would need adaptors I guess :|

  5. Just come across this - You dont have to use an R1 front wheel - you can also use a Thunderace or XJR1300 front wheel , discs and even calipers - then you can use the thunderace / xjr speedo drive too - everything will fit straight in and line up - BUT , you wil need to make a small mod the the left hand fork leg because the R1 has no speedodrive , there is a large boss on the left hand forkleg ( at the spindle ) taking up the 'space' where the speedo drive should be , just machine this off , and weld a lug on to prevent the speedo drive spinning around and you're done.
Of course you can use the suzuki front wheel , discs and calipers - but they wheel need some machining , spacers and brackets for the calipers to fit properly - more work than is worth it - the yam stuff will be lighter and stiffer , and the braking much better.

  6. Once all the engine mounts were it was onto the seat unit, I struggled with making up a subframe  trying to sort out angles & getting the seat right I changed things several times & decided to use a Duke subframe & cowl I had sitting in the shed. This ment I had to just make up a mini subframe for the Duke one to fit to. I'm not too sure even now but if it gets me on the road I'll change it later.20220215_164116.thumb.jpg.06c22dd3b256329e2d78ca24a43d5726.jpg20220215_164134.thumb.jpg.fc943a4e2172a632d226e0162c6ee393.jpg
