Buzuki
For carbs deep cleaning I use Trichloroetilen bath , just leave carbs for hour or two fully immersed in that metal bath and after is removed it will be like brand new , inside and outside , after that only compresed air is needed for dryin out , Problem is that Every Plastic or Rubber piece have to be removed from carbs before that very agresive chemical bath or will be totaly Resolved and Destroyed ! philwright
Carbs have now gone for ultrasonic cleaning, I removed all jets, emulsion tubes, white plastic slide housings, slides ,diaphragms and O rings, i also unscrewed and removed the pilot/mixture screws after making an accurate note that they were all screwed out 1 and a quarter turns, I've ordered new quality fuel pipe and a pair of inline filters...looking forward to getting it all back together ,in some ways I wish i'd not touched em in the first place!
