Swirl Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Having swapped the frontend out for a slingy usd item, I now have turned the attention to the rear, I have posted already about swingarm swapz and bandit seems the easiest, but still involves a bit of fabbing, I'm on a bit of a budget at the moment and turned my thoughts to just a wheel swap, I have got a couple of 5 inch rear wheels knocking round from other marque's that look similar to the slingy front, anyone successfully stitched a fatter rear wheel in a Gsx750es swingarm Quote
Rene EFE Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I had a 4.5 Slingy rear in my old one, but it was a bit of a faff. Quote

Rene EFE Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 No, used the std swimgarm, which made it worth it in the end. But, if I had started with a bare frame, I surely would've swapped the swingarm. I'll dig some pics out later Quote
Swirl Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 It's in one piece but has the slingy Usd front end on now, time to get the tape mea sure out and see if the 5" rim will go in, Quote
Rene EFE Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I didn't manage a 5". I used the 20mm spindle from the Slingshot and fabbed up a caliperhanger to use the stock brake setup. It handled perfect for what it was and I've regretted getting rid of it from the day I did. Quote
Swirl Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Looks a sweet bike, I have some measuring upto do before I do some hacking Quote
