mick-ne Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Hi, Well I have always had a slabby itch and I got the chance of these two bikes from Germany. Did the deal before Crimbo and collected them Saturday. Black ones an 1100 and will make a nice bike with a fairing and few odds and ends. 750 Wants a full restoration but is all there was described as standard but has a fibreglass fairing ? surely not original ? I am not after building concourse bikes just something nice so whats the thoughts oh fairings do I look for original or just be done with it and buy pattern ? Ad in wanted if anyone has any bits Thanks Mick 11 Quote
IceKat Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Nice finds indeed Mick Glass fibre lowers only on the 85, yours has 86 fairing fitted. But still a great bike. The 11 looks very tidy so well done im jealous Quote
mick-ne Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 Icekat please enlighten me on the fairing differences, that's exactly the info I'm after. The black one has been a nice bike looks well cared for I just wish I had the fairing, lol Thanks Mick Quote
mick-ne Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 Toni who painted your slabbie panels look a great job. Quote
toot Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 The 85 F has a fibreglass belly pan as standard, the G/H don't. The G/H belly pans kick out at the bottom towards the front wheel. The F just runs straight down. The F mid section fairing has 3 bolts that hold it to the nose cone section, G/H have 2. The F also has 3 slots cut into it next to the Suzuki badge. The nose cones are the same bar the 3/2 holes. Quote
mick-ne Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 Thanks for that. I have never noticed the differences especially the Bellypan, once you look theyre totally different. I presume mine is a G as its 86 Quote
