Sheep Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Could someone enlighten me as to whether the hole spacings for the sprocket cover are the same for EFE/E/Katana.... Not having each model to hand (except efe) I cannot check for myself. Many thanks,Sheep. Quote
homer Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Older gsx cover did fit to efe. Not sure about the model but it was from early eighties gsx. Quote
arnout Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Yup, earlier ET/EX/ESD sprocket cover fits onto the EFE lump, BUT as I've found on my EFE-engined Kat the gear change shaft is a bit shorter than on the earlier engines..! So had to machine back the protruding hole/shaft support on the cover somewhat so a sufficient length of the splined section would stick out for a lever to be mounted. Quote
Sheep Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 Cheers guys....I just had an idea to make a catch tank so the shaft isn't critical unless I decide to support this within the tank but the ones i've seen in US just utilise 3 bolts/holes. Quote
johnr Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 lucky7 sell catch tanks that fit where the sprocket cover goes on a gsx motor. Quote
