coils break down

hi can std coils on a gsxr750m break down when hot then reset when cold tia

Had this on my slabby, turned out to be very fine cracks in the leads/caps.

Both at same time is rare! If 1-4 or 2-3 are playing up, then yes. But if it's any other combo, check your wiring/leads/caps

Stripped carbs fitted dyna could now have fuel coming from these pipes.  Any ideas.

Overflow pipes, floats sticking or levels wrong.

Maybe worth fitting the pencil coils seem to give less problems aswell from what I've read on here.?

I can't really see how subjecting a coil to more vibration and heat , like on a pencil coil,can give less problems. They will work fine when new, but imho have been developed more with cost in mind than performance or life. The fact that they usually have a lower primary resistance shows they have less windings...
