Gsxrjames1127 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) Hey every one thanks in advance for the help I recently purchased a 1992 gsxr 750 came with the 1100 motor already on it some fool stripped the spark plug threads out so I got another head and in the process of swapping all the guts over to the new head was just wondering what the torque specs where for the head bolts ,Will also need valve clearance for intake cam and exhaust any information will be a great help tips welcome please and again thank you Edited August 5, 2017 by Gsxrjames1127 Quote
Gixer1460 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Why didn't you just helicoil the plug threads? Head nut torque = 25.5 - 29ft lbs (I would usually add a few more) M6 head bolt 6 - 8.5ft lbs and M6 cyl. nut 5 - 8ft lbs Valve Clearance = Inlet 0.10 - 0.15mm Exhaust 0.18 - 0.23 2 Quote
