stockcar
not sure if i should ask in here or oil boilers but here goes......... i have what i believe is a Blandit front wheel 3x17" in my lightly modded EF, mthe disc are approx 290mm and dished about 8-10mm (all rough due to storage issues at mo) and are a 5bolt mounting to the wheel ideally i am looking for a 310-320mm diameter disc that will be similiar fit if anyone can point me in the right direction??custom adaptors for calipers, etc. is no worry and will be made to suit later Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/336have a look at this. Quote Link to comment
stockcar
wheel etc. is all fitted and has been for years but only has the small discs as mentioned in my first post - looking for a donor disc Quote Link to comment
baldrick
They must be off a 600 blandit then, cos the 12 discs are flat aint they. May be easier chanjin the wheel and disc off a 12 Quote Link to comment
metallicaman
Going by CC's guide there, if the smaller 290mm discs fit the 3.5" wheel then 310mm discs from a slingshot or bandit should fit your 3" wheel, which ones you need will depend on offset for caliper spacing.. Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
why do you want bigger discs? With the 290mm ones you can mount good calipers directly on the EFE forks, without any adapters. That's why I posted the link. Quote Link to comment
stockcar
the bike already runs and has done for years with a small 4pot caliper and the set-up described above as pic....... why do i want bigger discs, because i have a "plan" and already have a set of calipers destined to be used that are more in keeping with my view of the bike 'older skool'........are the slingshot discs dished?? if so then basically looking for a set of these i guess?? Captain Chaos
Ah, a "plan". Yes Slingshot discs are dished, same amount as GSX-F discs I think. I can check later today at home. Quote Link to comment
stockcar
most appreciated - time is currently against the rest of the "plan" but we keep whittling away............ Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
just measured. Teapot discs on a slingy wheel are 7mm closer together than slingy discs on a similar slingy wheel. So the GSX-F discs are dished 3,5mm less than the slingy discs. Quote Link to comment
kenty
is the slingy wheel hub narrower than the teapot wheel hub , would using a slingy wheel keep the disks in the same place relative to the forks ,or is it a case of removing some metal to line the disks up . Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
I have no idea, I've got only slingy wheels, one with teapot discs. Quote Link to comment

Captain Chaos
what does O/A mean? Quote Link to comment

Captain Chaos
Slingy 750L discs are 310mm as far as I can measure with the wheel still in the bike.1st gen. teapot discs are not 290 but 289mm by the way. Quote Link to comment
stockcar
must be teapot discs on currently then....... just need to find some slingy discs to have play then Quote Link to comment
