Jaydee Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 3 ohm (green coils) for a standard cdi is recommended. 1 Quote

Better leads and coils gives stronger spark but will task the ignition more than standard. Certainly the lower Ohm units can cause problems upstream of the ignition. For road and track use, 3 Ohm is best, and anything else should only be considered marginal gains in an application like drag racing etc . Quote
Gixer1460 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 3 ohms is standard on most older tackle. Fitting a Dyna 'S' or a '2000' can improve the spark reliability and only with the 2000 can you use 2.2 ohm (grey) coils (although some peeps have used 2.2's with std CDI's but IMO it risks popping the electronics). The Dyna 'S' pick-ups can be used with a Dyna 4000 spark box and 1.5 (brown) or 0.7 ohm (blue) coils but for racing only. Quote
