any one aware of a larger front brake disc that will bolt to the std wheels used on the early twin shock GSX1100 motors??

Might be worth taking a look at the braking website. Their catalogue allows you to put bolt pcd, disc offset and other stuff in the search, from there you can cross check different models etc.
