dav Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Hello I ride a gsxr 1100, 1987 (slabside). I have oil leaking form the timing (ignition) cover. I removed the cover and started the enigine. Result: oil all over the place after a few seconds. Is it normal that there's oil behind the ignition cover? Quote
dav Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 Rene, I have no experience with old gsxr. But there's much oil behind the timing cover. When engine turning without the cover, oil is really flying out. Never saw this. I'm used to old kawasaki. Quote
Rene EFE Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It's supposed to do that. Replace gasket and be at peace Quote
